First of all he cannot both stick to his promises AND improve America. Those acheivements are mutually exclusive. I don't attribute his win to his campaign, I attribute it to our cultural decline.





I do not look to celebrities or earthly saviors to improve America. I look to liberty, and the American tradition of lesser government.



No....all it takes is a brain to know this guy is up to other things, the promises were just to get in. I can't believe how rude these people are.





I believe he will keep his promise to take my money and do with it as he sees fit, I hope the charities I have donated to and my church, that I give much to, and the American Legion all don't mind that I can't give them anything any more. I also hope that my girl, Yosheeka that I sponser in Maratonisia so she can have food and clean water and go to school understands too...better that some lazy a** n gets it all.
Well, let's see. He won the popular vote by a healthy margin, and the electoral votes by a huge majority. He received the endorsement of some key Republicans, Colin Powell among them. Like it or not, The Democrats have the majority of seats and so does congress. I would have to say that he is in a much better position to make some significant changes, especially if he stays within the framework of what most Americans want and need. Goodbye Bush!
He certainly did. But I don't believe he will be able to keep 95% of the promises he made. Our country is on the verge of bankruptcy, so it is inevitable taxes will increase exponentially. There is simply no other way to pay for Obama's new $4.2 Trillion in new spending. We will just have to wait and see.

but that's all anyone can do...is hope the candidate they choose turns out to be everything they hope them to be...

If Obama doesn't turn out to be what he sold us, I won't support him blindly like some Republicans did for Bush the last 8 years...

It's going to be a very hard four years...it would have been for either candidate. But you can tell that this guy is committed, he really is. He'll not always succeed, but you can bet your bottom dollar he'll work his tail off.
If the past has taught us anything at election time, then we should know that he will not live up to all of his claims of change. However, he has the job now and I hope that he handles it well and is able to turn our economy around.
