Why is John Mcain really suspending his campaign?

Is it because he is behind in the polls and Sarah Palin will get eaten alive when she debates Joe Biden? He wants to go to Washington to help solve the financial crisis that he helped create right? I think the man is full of crap and I don't trust him to be President with decisions like the ones he makes. He may look like a hero to some people but I question his judgment on this one. Anyone remember the Keating 5? If you don't then look it up and see how Mcain helped us get into this mess to begin with!Why is John Mcain really suspending his campaign?
Why? He's trying to get Palin off the debating schedule all together by taking her time slot next week. These debates are set up a year ahead of time and it would be hard to get another site arranged on a minute's notice so, ';Oops, we tried to find another time for Palin, but we couldn't.';Why is John Mcain really suspending his campaign?
exactly! I believe the main reason he is suspending his campaign is to postpone the 1st presidential debate to a later date, therefore having to cancel the VP debate all together, due to the amount of debates left and the shortening number of days till election...In doing this McCain will not have to expose Palin and let the US see Biden rip her apart on National Television





but Obama is fighting this and is not gunna let it happen

Don C: I live in part of the area effected by hurricane IKE, we as Texans don't need the presidential help as we are not cry babies like our neighbors and we don't need a photo op. President Bush has in fact been here to take an aerial tour days after the storm. Our Governor, state officials and citizens are handling this disaster as they are capable. Another reason they can't be here around everything is even most residents can't return.





Now to answer the question:


John McCain is doing the duty he was elected and sworn to do.
There are many reasons to suspend the campaign. Since they are both Senators they should be working to resolve this problem, but if they keep up a campaign while most Americans are suffering who does it hurt? Not the campaigns who have multimillion dollar budgets. You may want to look at Clinton, who helped move manufacturing jobs out of this nation that helped bring us to this point.
If I had to speculate I would offer these two reasons:





1. Refocus the media coverage away from Obama's strengths (mission accomplished)





2. McCain is not a good unscripted speaker. He's not quick with comebacks and takes his time with his answers. Any plausible reason to avoid a debate works in his favor. (mission accomplished)





3. They have to avoid, or at least postpone a Palin debate at any cost. The more she opens her mouth, the more clear it is that she is not up to the challenges of the job.
He knows that the Republican party is in trouble and can not get a life line that is tied to the the ships cleat with the proper seaman's knot

The last 854 billion life line was not even in the right part of the ship to be thrown over board to save the troubled ones

And now they want to fling over another life line of 700 billion

And McCain know that the Republican party screwed up big time this time

McCain sure as hell isn't afraid to debate Obama Friday on Foreign policy! Why wouldn't Obama debate McCain the 10 times that McCain wanted to in town hall meetings? Hmm?

IF HIS INTEREST WAS REALLY SUSPENDING THE CAMPAIGN BECAUSE HE IS SOOO CONCERNED WITH THE CRISIS, THEN WHY DIDN'T HE CALL OBAMA AND PROPOSE THAT THEY MAKE THE ANNOUNCEMENT TOGETHER... I MEAN ISN'T THAT WHAT HE WANTS?? ';ITS A TIME FOR BOTH PARTIES TO COME TOGETHER';





BTW, BEFORE MCCHICKEN MADE HIS LITTLE ANNOUNCEMENT, OBAMA CALLED MCCAIN PERSONALLY TO SUGGEST RELEASING A JOINT STATEMENT IN SUPPORT OF RESOLVING THE BAIL OUT. MCLAME IS PATHETIC.
He is a Senator. He is doing what the people of Arizona elected him to do. He's not waiting around to be summoned if he's needed. He realizes that he has responsibilities, and he his performing his duties as a Senator.
When he comes up with a bipartisan solution while Obama fiddles, you'll see why he went to congress to earn the pay that we give him.

He is suspending his campaign as an attempt to change the polls...I am not so sure that this latest stunt from the GOP Distract %26amp; Avoid Machine is going to have the desired effect.
Whenever my 5 year old has to go in to get immunized, she always fakes needing to go to the bathroom because it's ';urgent';. Of course we go and find that she's just buying time because she's scared.

The liberal media which no doubt you watch are very anti McCain. Sarah will have no problem kicking Joe Biden, he will help her with comments like Great Depression being explained on TV and having the wrong president in the white house during the great depression. If Sarah had made a stupid comment like that the liberal media would be eating her alive. But Old dummy Joe gets another pass.
