How did the American and British manage to fund its WW2 campaign?

Americans bought war bonds in large numbers. Many celebrities were on newsreels, posters, and the radio urging Americans to buy bonds. The Brits probably did the same. The Brits received a great deal of help from the U.S. thanks to the vision of FDR. FDR recognized that Hitler must be stopped. Unfortunately FDR was a lefty politically and an admirer of the despot Joseph Stalin whom he called ';uncle Joe'; . Ditto for his vice president, Harry Truman.How did the American and British manage to fund its WW2 campaign?
The same way governments always get money, by taking it from their citizens/subjects. The methods vary but its generally various types of taxing and borrowing (which is pledging future taxes).How did the American and British manage to fund its WW2 campaign?
Price and Wage controls, the sale of War Bonds, and yes raising of taxes.
THe Taxpayers dollars. And we had the resources anyways. Britain would not have survived WW2 if it were not for the USA, taking commerce from us in the Atlantic from everything to vegetgable oil to motor oil.

The lend-lease act gave Britain an enormous loan to fund its WWII campaign (basically the US funded both countries to a major extent)
