Is Obama more conservative than he led on in his campaign?

I was a huge Obama critic and now I am starting to actually like what he is doing with his cabinet. Is Obama more conservative than he led on in his campaign?
No, he is further left than he let on.Is Obama more conservative than he led on in his campaign?
With Obama there is no left, right, liberal, conservative..it's right or wrong, fair or unfair, just or unjust. That's the change he is bringing to the white house. He wants to do the RIGHT thing and do away with the wrong. He wants to be fair and put an end to the unfairness. He wants to do what is going to benefit this country and the people.

That is what he was about during his campaign and i think he is continuing to do that now.

He's bringing on people that, despite their party, they share his goal and vision for America. It's smart.
No. It was the right-wing media and the crazies on here that kept claiming that Obama was some kind of radical, socialist, or communist. For people who listened to his speeches (or read them), it was clear Obama was a pragmatist, and his choice of Vice-President and cabinet simply reinforces that view.
He is as far from conservative as possible.

If you re-phrase your question and substitute the word ';globalist'; for the word ';conservative';, I would answer with an emphatic ';YES';.

People must stop confusing globalism with conservatism. The republican party was hijacked by globalists. True conservatives have left the party in droves.
Yes. They used the phrase ';furthest left'; to replace the phrase ';he's different from any of us. Obama is a christian who attended church regularly so yea he is very conservative. He just has a broader view then your average conservative. He's not judgmental as the old school conservatives.
He is doing exactly what we heard him say he would do all along. We were wondering what the heck conservatives were throwing a fitt about... Welcome aboard; we're glad to have ya! We are finally on the same page. Obama never embraced the right wing left wing theory anyway...
I did not support Obama at all, however, he is doing what every half intelligent president has ever done...moved to a moderate position. He is trying to be America's president, not the Democrat's president, other wise he will be the next Jimmy Carter.
If you're POTUS you have to get it right. W. problem was he never got ';it'; right. Governing in order to be effective must be done from the center. When the Republicans were trying to sell fear. i said then that the change would be back to normal, peace and prosperity, nothing radical.
I used to think that I was a conservative until I seen that conservatives think people with my avatar are all on welfare regardless of the fact that I am in college.

He was not that liberal but republicans kept trying to characterize him as that.
Barack Obama could never considered conservative because of his views. And his cabinet is almost the same as Clinton's, but if you consider that a good thing, then I don't quite understand how you could be an Obama critic.
Probably not. I think that with the economy the way it is...he is not wanting to rock the boat. everything is so fragile right now, that any major move has a domino effect. I just think he is taking things slow right now..
I read an article about this on Yahoo a bit ago. I voted for McCain. But I've been pretty impressed so far with Obama. It's the Liberal group that is worried now, according to the article. I laughed out loud.
This centrist Democrat's opinion: he had to sell himself to the lunatic fringe of his own party to ensure solid unity. But also, he was never as far left as paranoid Right Wing Loonies portrayed. So a little of those two things.
He was always a centrist. The Republicans tried to portray him as a left-wing nutjob to help get McCain elected. He doesn't call himself a socialist; that's a pure invention of the opposition.
Of course. Did you really believe all his garbage?

He is a member of the global elite. Republican or Democrat... it doesn't matter... Left wing, right wing.... both are wings to the same bird.
I think his cabinet is more conservative than he is.
Perhaps slightly. But if Daschle is appointed head of Health and Human Services, there will be profound changes in our health care system - and not for the better, I'm afraid.
BO is more of everything than what people believed. He is a liar, hoax, fraud, etc.
some one on fix news said he more conservative then bush.
Obama was never far left... that was Right wing rhetoric.
Conservative? Nope.

They all are paid servants. Where do you think they get that money to campaign?
Exactly. He's not the uber-liberal many on the far right make him out to be.
