What impact did celebrity endorsers and respected politicians who crossed party lines have on the campaign?

None, people make up their own minds. It helps to have a endorsement but in the end it's up to the person that's voting to make up their own minds. What impact did celebrity endorsers and respected politicians who crossed party lines have on the campaign?
For the most part not much, however I do have to admit that when Gen Powell endorsed President Obama it most likely swayed other intelligent Republicans to cross party lines and vote for the good of the country. What impact did celebrity endorsers and respected politicians who crossed party lines have on the campaign?
Maybe a little for some, but for the most part...I hope that people made up their own minds. I do agree with Metal Mike though, that endorsement by General Powell may have brought some Republicans to Pres. Obama's side.
They shouldn't have any impact on a voter, nothing should except the ability of the one to do the job. I could care less what they do in Hollywood.
As far as I can tell, the only impact it had was to make the entertainment industry, and especially Hollywood, even less respected than it already was.
Probably some. Let's face it people wouldn't advertise and wouldn't use celebrity endorses if it didn't work. No one cares about the pols that crossed lines - every hates politicians but lots of morons love JayZ (et all).
Almost no effect, in reality they think they are much more important then they are.
Probably a lot for people that voted for Obama.
the media that chooses to place undo importance on it is what has the impact
The brainless will listen to Sean Penn and Madonna.

I don't so it had no impact for me.
Little to none.
I hate how celebs think we care about their opinions
