If you go to the New York Times politics section you will find a total breakdown of all the candidate's financial contributions. Most of Obama's donations have come from people across the country. Some of them donate $25.00. Thereafter, they are asked for repeat donations. He has quite a cyberfinancial machine. I know, I've been donating to it for some time now. It's very well organized. I want this man running our country. He gets results. Hillary's campaign, meanwhile, languishes in the red.

For all the people who will say it's from donations from people who believe in him, etc,etc: I find it obscene that people would empty their pockets for a politician, when they couldn't scare up anywhere near that amount for relief of WTC victims families or the Gulf Coast victims of Katrina.





If people supporting, giving money to, and voting for Obama are that gullible and shallow, then they deserve the creep.





Edit: To edthespa: Okay, enough. Why not call him by his full name? I can't count the number of times I have seen the name Hillary Rodham Clinton. So why not say Barack Hussein Obama? It's his damn NAME. Why does it offend you to hear it? It seems it affects Obama's supporters more than it affects anyone else.
I don't think that Obama is getting any more overseas support for his campaign than McCain or Clinton (or any previous candidate). There are always countries, companies and individuals outside the U.S. who have a vested interest in a given candidate winning, and they'll always try to find ways to influence the campaign, just as Americans try to influence other elections. So no, there's no conspiracy at play here.





Side note: you realize that by insisting on using Barack's middle name that (a) you're not scaring anyone off, we all get that his middle name is Hussein and (b) you're outing yourself as just another exceedingly biased right-winger?

To answer your Q: It would be impossible for him to do so. Every penny has to be accountable to the FEC.
